Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of PropDNA, operated by MarketMingle Ltd (HE46046, Limassol, Cyprus). It supplements our Terms of Service. By using PropDNA you agree to comply with this AUP.
Prohibited Content
You must not submit, upload, or transmit content that:
- Is false, fabricated, or AI-generated and presented as a genuine personal trading experience.
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or intended to harm an individual or organisation.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contains personal data about third parties without their consent (e.g., real names, addresses, contact details).
- Constitutes spam, unsolicited advertising, or pyramid-scheme promotions.
- Includes malware, phishing links, or any code intended to compromise other users' devices or data.
- Violates any applicable law, including financial promotion rules in your jurisdiction.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Create multiple accounts to submit multiple reviews of the same firm, or to exploit the referral or PropPoints system.
- Coordinate with others to artificially inflate or suppress a firm's trust score or review rating.
- Attempt to access accounts, databases, or admin functions belonging to other users or to PropDNA.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction at scale without a written data licence from MarketMingle Ltd.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of PropDNA systems without prior written authorisation (responsible disclosure enquiries should be sent to legal@thepropdna.com).
- Circumvent affiliate tracking by copying destination URLs to avoid the tracking redirect — this is a breach of our affiliate agreements.
- Use the platform to solicit or facilitate off-platform financial transactions or investment pooling schemes.
- Impersonate PropDNA, MarketMingle Ltd, any prop firm, educator, or other user.
Review Integrity
Maintaining review integrity is central to PropDNA's value. In addition to the conduct rules above, reviewers must:
- Only review firms with which they have genuine, first-hand trading experience.
- Disclose any current or former employment, contracting, or affiliate relationship with the firm being reviewed.
- Not submit a review in exchange for payment, free challenges, or any other benefit from the firm being reviewed.
- Not submit a review as part of a coordinated campaign organised by a firm, its representatives, or competitors.
PropDNA uses automated signals and manual review to detect inauthentic reviews. Accounts found to have submitted fraudulent reviews will be permanently banned and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Educator & Content Creator Rules
Educators approved to publish on PropDNA must additionally:
- Clearly disclose any paid or affiliate relationships with prop firms they mention or recommend.
- Not make unsubstantiated performance claims (e.g., “I turn $10k challenges into $1m funded accounts”).
- Comply with applicable financial promotion rules for their jurisdiction, including FCA (UK), SEC/CFTC (US), and similar regimes.
- Not use PropDNA to drive traffic to their own competing comparison or review site.
API & Data Access
PropDNA provides a public API (/api/v1) for legitimate developer use. API consumers must:
- Not exceed 60 requests per minute per IP without a rate-limit exception granted by PropDNA.
- Credit PropDNA as the data source in any published product using our data.
- Not resell PropDNA data as a standalone product or incorporate it into a competing firm-comparison platform without a commercial licence.
- Comply with robots.txt and not use the API to reconstruct the full PropDNA database.
Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in any or all of the following, at our discretion:
- Content removal or review suppression.
- Account suspension or permanent ban.
- Forfeiture of PropPoints and any pending rewards.
- IP or device blocking.
- Referral to law enforcement or regulatory bodies where the conduct may constitute a criminal offence or regulatory breach.
- Civil action to recover damages caused by the violation.
We will generally give users an opportunity to respond before taking irreversible enforcement action, except where the violation is severe (e.g., fraud, hacking, CSAM).
Reporting Violations
To report content or conduct that you believe violates this policy, email legal@thepropdna.com with subject line “AUP Report”. Include the relevant URL, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence. We will acknowledge valid reports within 5 business days.
